I was fortunate enough to be a part of the CNN Grill party on Election Night at the Time Warner Center in NYC. Much CNN branded beer, burgers, Mac & Cheese and celebration was had. It was so really great to hang with old friend Steve Garfield and new friends Bre Petis and David All. I also got the opportuntity to connect with some well known people from the NYC social media/tech/blogger scene like Adam Hirsch and Sharon Feder of Mashable, Scott Lamb of Buzzfeed, Matt Buchanan of Gizmodo and Julia Allison of Nonsociety.
The night was truly memorable, and I will never forget it for the rest of my life. I keep imagining myself telling my grandchildren the details of the election night when I was part of making U.S. history in 2008. CNN.com, made its own history as well, receiving 282.5 million page views that day, marking the highest traffic day in the site's history.
Enjoy the 12seconds clips below from the night. I was shooting video and uploading so quickly, it felt like a true live video blogging experience, which was very exciting for me. To share my experience with the world as it happened through video was so satisfying.
