I am not a huge fan of Britney Spears, but I do appreciate what she has done and how far she has come. And I mean come on - it's not easy being Britney.
But, her digital presence as of late is really impressing me. BritneySpears.com was relaunched last week, and now incorporates a blog, with posts featuring fan YouTube videos and other Britney-related inside gossip, not to mention a copious supply of social network links. While browsing the site's blog I found this fan video - which I strangely think is awesome- and thought to myself how cool it is that I was introduced to a fan video through Britney's website.
And of course, we gotta mention @therealbritney on Twitter. To my surprise she, well I should say her "team," is doing a great job engaging the Twitter community. They are actively following others, responding to followers questions by @ing them, and are making a significant effort to engage the community with enthusiasm and excitement.
I think this is a fabulous effort by Britney Spears' staff, and I look forward to checking back in on the Britney blog and keeping up with the tweets from @therealbritney. I'm interested to see to how her 2.0 presence grows and evolves.
