Facebook New Profile Design
I am not sure how I feel about the new look and feel of Facebook. I am a HUGE fan of tabbed browsing, as anyone I work with can attest to the endless number of tabs I have open at any given moment, but I liked how the old Facebook profile lived on one page. It may be technically better, but it will definitely take some time to get used to.

I have to say the new version is a vast improvement on the previous. On some of the pages I do feel asthough there is too much space but I like the simplistic approach. I also noticed that it seems to be alot faster in terms of the ajax functionality and less resource hungry :)

Yup, those were my comments exactly - it's an improvement, but people (including me) will whine anyway because it feels so unfamiliar.
But, I have to say, the ability to go back and edit posts you've made on people's walls is very welcome and, frankly, long-overdue. =D

I don't like it; I totally prefer the old one! What's wrong with having it all on one page?
Then again, maybe it's like Dave said...the only reason I'm complaining about it at all is b/c it's unfamiliar.

I suspect that the developers at FB are a.) feeling the heat from Twitter and FriendFeed, and b.) don't realize that Twitter and FriendFeed are far too bleeding-edge than the mainstream web user. Most people are narcissists. They like to express themselves, and they like to share details about themselves. But, do they like to read about others? Probably not.

I'm glad you blogged about this, yay. I'm also glad that I was sitting next to you when you first saw and reacted to the design change, haha.

I tried the new version, didn't like it, so reverted back to the old one. You do have a choice, you realize.
